About the Series 6
The Investment Company Products/
Variable Products Representative Examination (Series 6) was
developed by the NASD (National Association of Securities
Dealers) in cooperation with certain representatives of the
securities industry and industry associations. This test
covers the redeemable securities of registered investment
companies, new issues of closed-end companies, variable
contracts and insurance premium funding programs along with
other insurance contracts that are not exempt from
registration under the Securities Act of 1933.
Successful completion of the Series 6
examination allows the applicant to qualify for registration
to do business in the following:

Primary issues of closed-end investment companies
·
Investment company redeemable securities
·
Variable contracts and insurance premium funding programs
·
Insurance
contracts which are not exempt from registration
